Make Spring Clean a breeze with Koh

Make Spring Clean a breeze with Koh

We get it, nobody wants to spend time cleaning. Or worse still, thinking about cleaning! That’s why we’ve prepared this quick list of top tips for some of the most dreaded jobs so you can get the most out of your Universal Cleaner in every room of your home.

But before we get started deep cleaning, one word of advice: good things come to those who wait.

And that’s true when it comes to these heavier cleans with Koh. It’s always best to spray, leave the Universal Cleaner for 3-5 minutes to work its magic, then get scrubbing (trust us, you’ll need way less elbow grease this way)... it’s worth the wait.

Kitchen

Oven
The dreaded oven clean. Here’s how to make light work of what is usually a tough job - without the need for nasty chemicals.

  1. Give the inside a liberal spray with Universal Cleaner - wait 5 minutes.
  2. Come in with a Diamond Sponge and watch that grime melt away!

Kitchen Cupboards
When was the last time you cleaned on top of your kitchen cupboards? We don’t blame you, out of sight out of mind! Banish that thick layer of grease and dust (or “greast” as we like to call it):

  1. Apply a liberal spray of Universal cleaner - wait 5 minutes.
  2. Wipe with a clean Universal Cloth to reveal a pristine cupboard top, magic!
  3. Try these steps on your rangehood too… you won’t regret it.

Bathroom

Shower
Want to remove soap scum without harsh chemicals? Read on…

  1. Start with a dry shower - this is key to get the best results with Universal Cleaner.
  2. Liberally spray with Universal Cleaner and wait 3-5 minutes.
  3. Use a Universal Cloth to wipe away the soap scum, the scrubby corner works wonders on tougher buildup.

Tried multiple products and not gotten results? You may have soap scum etching - try cleaning your shower screen using the steps above, and work in a small amount of Almond Oil on your shower screen.

Grout
Get into the groove, without the effort usually needed to clean your grout.

  1. Give your grout lines a liberal spray of Universal Cleaner (see a pattern here?)
  2. Whizz around with your Koh Grout Brush (it’s ergonomically designed… nice!) and if you have tiles on the floor use it with our Grout Brush Pole to clean with ease and save your knees!

Living Room

Ceiling Fan
These things are a dust and grease magnet - much like your kitchen cupboard tops. Start with your ceiling fans so you’re not dropping grime onto an already clean floor.

  1. Liberal spray with Universal Cleaner, wait a few minutes
  2. Wipe with a clean Universal Cloth

It’s really that simple.

Rugs, Sofas, Carpets
Did you know Universal Cleaner can be used to spot clean fabrics?

  1. Spray, wait for 2 minutes
  2. Dab stain out with a dry Universal Cloth

We recommend always spot testing in an inconspicuous place first to ensure compatibility.

Bedroom

Mattress
Ever wondered how those stains can get through your sheet and mattress protector? We might not have the answer to that, but we can help you get rid of them without an expensive trip to a specialist cleaner. Universal Cleaner is a powerful stain and odour remover.

  1. Give your mattress a vacuum with a clean head attachment
  2. Apply a liberal spray of Universal Cleaner and wait 5 minutes
  3. Dab out with a dry cloth and repeat if necessary until the stain is lifted

If you have bigger stains and access to a wet vac, try it with 100ml of laundry liquid instead of nasty chemical cleaners.

Blinds or Shutters
Often you’ll find buildup of dust, grime or soot; particularly if you leave near a main road. Universal Cleaner excels at lifting this kind of dirt.

  1. Liberal spray, and you guessed it - wait!
  2. Simply wipe away using your Universal Cloth.

Wood, Vinyl or Tile Floors

Under appliances
How brave are you feeling? Brave enough to tackle under the fridge or oven… let’s go! First up safely move your appliance and sweep or vacuum the floor.

  1. Give the whole area a liberal spray with Universal Cleaner, we’re talking ceiling, walls and skirting boards.
  2. Wipe down the walls first, then onto the floors.
  3. Grab your Koh Spray Mop to spray and wipe away the grime

Whole home mop
A less is more approach is best to keep your floors in tip-top shape (your wallet will also appreciate using less product). All you need is 1 trigger spray pull per square metre of flooring - spray and wipe your way to clean, dry floors in moments.
