How to clean rangehood filters

Rangehood filters work overtime trapping grease and cooking vapours — but if they’re clogged, your hood won’t do its job properly. A quick clean keeps airflow strong and your kitchen fresh.

Step-by-step guide

Step 1
Unplug or switch off the rangehood. Remove the filters and place them on an old towel.

Step 2
Spray liberally with Universal Cleaner and let sit for 5 minutes.

Step 3
Wash using a dish brush in a sink filled with hot water and a squeeze of Dishwashing Liquid, OR place filters in the dishwasher with a Dishwashing Tablet.

Step 4
Allow filters to dry fully before replacing into the rangehood.

Pro tip

Clean your filters monthly to keep suction strong and prevent greasy build-up.

Safety first: Always unplug or switch off your rangehood before removing filters.

Other notes
