Step-by-step guide
Step 1
Spray Universal Cleaner inside the drum and along the door seal.
Step 2
Wipe with your General Cloth, using the Scrubby Corner for any mouldy spots.
Step 3
Remove the detergent drawer and wash it (plus the housing) in warm water with a dash of Dish Liquid.
Step 4
For front loaders, gently clean the rubber seal to stop mould build-up.
Step 5
Spray the exterior with Universal Cleaner and wipe with your General Cloth.
Step 6
For glass doors, polish with a Glass Cloth for a streak-free finish.
Step 7
Replace the drawer, add 1–2 cups of white vinegar, and run the hottest empty cycle to flush the machine.
Pro tip
• A monthly empty hot wash with vinegar helps keep mould, detergent build-up, and odours at bay.
Safety first: Always unplug your washing machine before cleaning and ensure it’s completely dry before use.
Other notes
Don’t forget the filter! Pop it open (usually at the base), remove lint and gunk, then rinse under hot water with a drop of Dishwashing Liquid. Cleaning the filter monthly keeps your machine draining properly and prevents musty smells.
