$3 Dish Sponges that are nearing the end of their life, they’re fully biodegradable and home compostable.

At Koh we believe in making better decisions for the environment as much as we possibly can, when we developed our Dish Sponges the fact they were fully compostable when you’re finished with them was a huge win.

Unfortunately what we didn’t know was that even when they haven’t been hydrated with water, they have a shelf life and can start to biodegrade.

Our team found some older sponges in our warehouse that are brand new, but because they’ve been there for a while they’re nearing their end of life and may not last too long when used.

But… we’d rather give you the opportunity to buy them at a hugely discounted price, and give them a short life, than throw them away!

Some may disintegrate after a few uses, and others are completely fine, it’s a bit of a sponge lucky dip.

And of course, when they have reached the end of their life, they are still fully compostable.

How to use

Better for you and our planet, Dish Sponges are made from FSC wood pulp, are shipped dehydrated and magically grow to a full size sponge when submerged in water. Dehydrated sponges are better because they do not need a fungicidal to stop mould - common with sponges and can happen in transit before being sold. Plus they take up approx 75% less space when being shipped, so have a lower carbon emission footprint.

When you've finished with your sponge simply cut up into small pieces and place in your home compost bin.

Each pack comes with 2 x sponge and 2 x sponge with natural loofah for extra scrubby action.

Sustainability and environment

Dish Sponges are made from FSC-approved pulp and are dried and compressed to avoid nasty chemicals and reduce packaging volume by 74%, reducing greenhouse gas emissions in transit.

Dish Sponges are reusable, machine washable and home compostable.

Ingredients

Dish Sponges are made out of biodegradable cellulose and natural loofah.
