How to clean blood stains from clothes

Blood stains can be tricky — proteins love to cling to fabric. Luckily, Universal Cleaner breaks them down, loosening the bond so you can rinse them out with cold water (the golden rule: never hot water!).

What you need

✔ Universal Cleaner with Atomiser
✔ General Cloth
✔ Cold water
✔ Washing machine (optional)

Step-by-step guide

Step 1
Blot the stain gently with a dry General Cloth to remove any excess.

Step 2
Spray Universal Cleaner directly onto the stain.

Step 3
Leave for 2–3 minutes while the formula gets to work on those proteins.

Step 4
Blot with a damp General Cloth, lifting the loosened stain.

Step 5
Rinse thoroughly under cold water.

Step 6
Repeat if needed until the stain fades.

Step 7
Launder as usual, using cold water.

Pro tip

• Treat blood stains as quickly as possible — fresh is always easier.

• Always use cold water, since hot water can set stains permanently.

• For dried stains, soak in cold water before treating with Universal Cleaner.

Safety first: Always patch test on a hidden area of fabric first.

Other notes

Works best on fresh stains; older ones may need several treatments.
