How to clean berry stains

Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries — great in smoothies, not so great splattered across your favourite shirt. Berry stains are full of natural pigments that love to cling to fabric, but with a one-two punch from Koh Universal Cleaner and Koh Stain Remover, you can send them packing before they settle in.

What you need

✔ Universal Cleaner – breaks down berry pigments and grime
✔ Atomiser – for even spray coverage
✔ Stain Remover – targets deep-set colour stains
✔ Foaming Spray Bottle - to dispense stain remover
✔ General Cloth – for blotting and cleaning
✔ Cold water
✔ Laundry Liquid – for a final, spotless wash

Steps

Step 1
Rinse the stain under cold running water to flush out excess juice — the faster, the better.

Step 2
Spray Universal Cleaner directly onto the stain until it’s well-saturated.

Step 3
Let it sit for 2–3 minutes, then blot away residue with your General Cloth.

Step 4
Apply Stain Remover over the area and let it sit for 15 minutes to lift any remaining pigment.

Step 5
Machine wash as normal using Laundry Liquid for a fresh, clean finish.

Pro tips

• Act fast — once berry stains dry, they get stubborn.

• Always use cold water — hot water “cooks” the stain, setting it in.

• Blot from the back of the fabric outwards to push the stain out, not deeper in.

Safety first: Always test Universal Cleaner and Stain Remover on a hidden area first, especially for delicate or coloured fabrics. Do not mix Koh products with bleach or other chemical cleaners.
