If your outdoor windows are giving “filter mode off” thanks to a layer of dust, bugs and sticky grime — it’s time to clear things up. With Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner and a trusty standard squeegee (the kind with the sponge and rubber blade), you’ll have streak-free glass and fresh screens in no time.
What you need
✔ Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner
✔ Foaming Spray Bottle
✔ Standard squeegee (sponge + rubber blade)
✔ General Cloth
✔ Soft brush (optional)
✔ Bucket of lukewarm water
✔ Hose (optional)
Step-by-step guide
Step 1
Pick your moment — clean on a cloudy or cool day to stop cleaner drying too quickly.
Step 2
Prep the screens — remove or gently brush them to get rid of dust and cobwebs.
Step 3
Spray the solution — generously mist Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner onto the glass and frames. Let it sit for about 2 minutes to cut through the gunk.
Step 4
Scrub it down — use the wet sponge side of your squeegee to loosen dirt and grease from top to bottom.
Step 5
Rinse & swipe — rinse with clean water, then flip to the rubber side of your squeegee and pull straight down in smooth strokes. Wipe the blade after each pass to avoid streaks.
Step 6
Final polish — use your General Cloth to catch any leftover droplets or smudges.
Pro tip
• Avoid cleaning in direct sunlight — it dries the cleaner too fast and ruins the shine.
• For screens, clean the frames and tracks too — because what’s the point of clear glass if your tracks look like compost?
Safety note: Don’t use abrasive scrubbers — the formula does the heavy lifting without scratching.
