How to clean floors without streaks

You’ve mopped, stepped back, and—ugh—streaks. Again. The secret to streak-free floors isn’t elbow grease, it’s balance. With Universal Cleaner and your Spray Mop, you’ll get clean, shining floors without overdoing the solution (or the effort).

What you need

✔ Universal Cleaner – for a clean, streak-free finish
✔ Spray Mop – for efficient, even coverage
✔ Light Green Mop Pad – for a deeper clean or dirtier floors
✔ Dark Green Mop Pad – for quick, light cleans

Step-by-step guide

Step 1
Attach your chosen mop pad — light green for deep cleans, dark green for everyday refreshes.

Step 2
Fill your Spray Mop reservoir with Universal Cleaner.

Step 3
Spray once per square metre — that’s all you need. (Soaking floors = streaks!)

Step 4
Mop in smooth, overlapping strokes, flipping the pad if it gets too wet or dirty.

Step 5
Swap out pads as needed — one pad usually cleans a standard room.

Step 6
Let your floors air dry to reveal that satisfying, streak-free finish.

Pro tip

• Less is more — one light mist does the job.

• Change mop pads once they’re visibly soiled or damp; a dirty pad just moves grime around.

• For stubborn spots, give them an extra spray and light scrub before mopping.

Safety note: Suitable for tiles, sealed timber, vinyl and laminate. Always test on a small area if unsure about the floor finish. Avoid soaking floors — especially timber and laminate — to prevent warping.
