How to clean cutting boards naturally

Wooden chopping boards add warmth to any kitchen, but they also soak up food stains and odours if not cleaned properly. Here’s how to keep yours fresh, safe, and looking its best.

Step-by-step guide

Step 1
Apply Universal Cleaner liberally over the surface of the board and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Step 2
Wipe down with a General Cloth, using the Scrubby Corner to remove any stubborn stains or soils.

Step 3
Rinse under hot water.

Step 4
Dry thoroughly with a General Cloth.

Pro tip

Season your board every few weeks with food-grade oil, beeswax conditioner, or coconut oil. This prevents cracking, stops moisture seeping in, and keeps the wood nourished for years to come. ✨

Safety first: Always allow the board to dry completely before storing to prevent mould growth.

Other notes

Avoid soaking wooden boards in water, as this can cause warping. A quick wipe after each use helps prevent stains from setting in.
