AirPods live in your ears and pockets, so it’s no surprise they pick up wax, dust and grime. A careful Koh clean keeps them hygienic and sounding crisp.
What you need
✔ Universal Cleaner
✔ General Cloth
✔ Toothpick or wooden skewer
Step-by-step guide
Step 1
Unplug and power down your AirPods before cleaning.
Step 2
Lightly spray Universal Cleaner onto a General Cloth, never directly onto the AirPods, and gently wipe the surfaces clean.
Step 3
Use the scrubby corner of the cloth to remove stubborn marks from the case.
Step 4
For the speaker mesh and crevices, carefully dislodge dirt with a dry toothpick or wooden skewer, then wipe away loosened debris with the cloth.
Step 5
Finish with a final dry buff using the clean side of the General Cloth.
Pro tip
Clean your AirPods weekly to prevent earwax build-up and extend their life — but never submerge them in water or spray cleaner directly onto them.
